Arrived at Edmonton feeling pretty good and VERY excited . The flights from LA to Vancouver and then Vancouver to Edmonton were quick & easy, the view .........spectacular! We kicked Josie out of the window seat because she had her face in the Ipod (!?!) and were calling "shotgun" so we could look out the window, especially once we got our first glimpse of land ahoy! Canadian customs /immigration a breeze compared to the States. As it was so early when we landed in Vancouver we each had our own immigration officer to sort out our visa's. Luxury!
Ralph Feenstra (Janice's Dad) found us wandering "arrivals" and took us to meet the rest of the Jackson crew. What a beautiful bunch of people!!!!
We spent a couple of hours at the airport....talking each others ears off before farewelling the Jackson6. What a perfect swap this is!
Ralph & Pat (Janices Mum & Dad) then took us in to Edmonton, where we were staying the night so we could travel to Clandonald in the daylight. They took us on a tour of downtown Edmonton......so beautiful with all the Christmas lights up. The Canadians do a fantastic display of lights....their house as well as public grounds & buildings. An outdoor skate rink in front of the Municipal buiilding was straight out of the movies.......we were pinching ourselves.
Morning came...New Year......to Clandonald!
