Its an urban myth that the Icelandic people have 100 words for snow......I can understand why that myth eventuated.....it falls, flurries, sleets, drops, blankets.....ok thats only four......told you I wasn't eloquent! I am going to miss the snow when it finally melts.....I expect the spring will be magnificent, but....snow....it covers a myriad of sins.! It was bizarre to wake to the sound of the auger loading grain....... For a moment ...I could have been at home.....then I looked out the window!?! It is strange though ......even on the other side of the world, farmers, harsh conditions, operate very similiarly. Comforting. Checked the Jacksond blog today http://jackson6adventuresdownunder.weebly.com Check it out!!!! Janice......your 'blob' is so much more organised than ours....oh well....same/same but different! Made me feel a bit homesick.....talbingo, school, our house.....home..... Maybe we won't immigrate after all!!??!! Seriously loving Canada though......x Vin & the girls returned to school after our big adventure........ Lucky me....the roadie.....I got clean up duty.....the basement here was over-populated with laundry hanging from any possible rack.....I so hate winter washing! Layers, layers, layers.........I am not complaining.....I can't believe how incredibily fortunate we are.....................:) |
The whipped cream 'cap collection'........
shame job, how much we have consumed........ but its so damn good with hot chocolate and/or a mocha......help! |
The photo to the left is of our "hollywood" ceiling in the loungeroom.....sadly, this photo doesn't do it justice! Its an incredibly beautiful chandelier, tucked into a star & surrounded by stucco.....we love looking at it ! This house was built by Janice's grandpa, Ralph's Dad & so..they have both grown up with it. The farm we are living on is now in its third generation......impressive ! The grandeur of the chandelier doesnt stop the indoor hockey games I've been told!?! "Grandma....dont hit the chandelier with the puck or I will have to tell mum"......!!!! |
